1960's RP with Five
Original thread found here
In a way Roxy was lucky that she landed in the 1960's and not the pervious era, her modern look was a lot easier to blend into the 60's than if she were dumped into a June and Cleaver type of situation.
"At least I can pass off my short hair as some kind of Twiggy or Mia Farrow inspiration..." She thinks to herself as she passes by a shop window, pausing to adjust her outfit.
"And I do look great in a miniskirt if I do say so myself..."
Not that she's dressed up this way to try and lure anyone with her barely covered bottom, she is actually rather modestly dressed compared to what she wears most nights for work. Today she is going for 'casual lady about town', something that won't stand out too much if she has to do a little breaking and entering.
"Another plus for a miniskirt," She thinks to herself as she approaches the closed down appliance store. "It won't get caught on anything."

"Roxy?" He asked confused, unsure of why she had turned up. He didn't see Luther with her. So he had no idea why she would come to the place he was staying alone. "What are you doing here? Did something happen to my brother?" He added after a beat, wondering if something had happened between last night and this morning.
no subject
Luckily she manages to recover quickly and gives him a sunny smile, "Hey there sweets."
"I....uh nothing's wrong. Your brother is fine, I was just in the neighborhood and thought I'd check in on you. You know...just in case Luther asked about you tomorrow night at work." She motions at the store, "I'd feel pretty bad if he was like 'oh Roxy I just found out that my little brother got stabbed to death by a homeless guy'."
no subject
"The one homeless guy that occasionally hangs around here is harmless. If he were dangerous, Elliott would have probably called the cops on him by now." He puts out there as he pockets the car keys in his right hand, while looking at the watch in his left hand.
"You don't have to worry about me. The appliance store is closed, but the building isn't abandoned. The guy who owns the place is just a little reclusive."

She jokes and then immediately kicks herself mentally, realizing that she's made a joke about a TV program that doesn't exist yet. She tries hard not to reference things from her time but she's only been here for about 6 months and still slips up time to time. Hopefully he'll just think she's talking about some cop in town...

"...Okay just who the hell are you?" Five asks with a glare as he was definitely on his guard now.
no subject
She holds up her hands in a gesture of surrender, "I already told you. My name is Roxy."
"You never got around to telling me your name though."
no subject
"Why are you so interested in who I am?" He asks defensively, unsure if she's being genuine or if she's trying to play him. The Commission takes all kinds after all. For all he knew she could be working with the Swedes who killed Hazel and tried to kill him already.
hehehe poor Five....
"Because I'm stuck here!" She says through the flood of tears, "When I saw you I could tell you were different and I thought that maybe you were like me! You speak different and act different and you know who Chris Hansen is so that proves that you're not from this stupid time and for once I was RIGHT about something but it doesn't matter because now you're acting like I'm here to attack you or something but I'm not! I'm just scared and lonely and sick of pretending because I'm not supposed to BE HERE!"
Yes she realizes she's babbling and sounds a smidge hysterical but she can't help it.
no subject
"Woah, woah, woah. Curb the waterworks here, before you start drawing attention to us. Look I don't know you and I don't know what you've been through. But I have literally had several people try to kill me since I landed back here. So sorry if I'm not trusting of a complete stranger right off the bat." He responds, looking a cross between frustrated and agitated.
"I just don't have time to deal with someone else's shit when my plate is full. I need to find my siblings and get us out of this timeline before those idiots manage to trigger a fucking doomsday. Luther's being a dumbass and my other brother is currently acting fucking cuckoo for cocoa puffs obsessing over trying to stop JFK's assassination like a fucking moron. I'm really reaching my wit's end here." He adds because she's not the only one going through some shit here. He's on a short time table before the world literally ends in a nuclear war.
no subject
Finally it feels safe to speak, even though his expression is still agitated a lot of the suspicion has dropped out of it and has been replaced by what seems to be impatience, which is fine, she's used to that look.
"....Your brother is trying to stop JFK's assassination?" She asks, her one eyebrow going up. "That's fucking dumb. You're not supposed to mess with history like that or else shit will get all messed up, geeeez didn't he ever watch 'Back to the Future'?"
She wipes at the tears on her cheek with the back of her hand, feeling a bit more calm after her outburst. Sometimes it helps her to just explode and cry it out, part of her suspects that he could use a release like that but it's always different with guys.
"Also the people who are trying to kill you...." She says after a small pause, "They don't happen to be from a branch of the US government called I.O. do they?"
no subject
"No, the people coming after me are from the Temps Commission. They are in charge of protecting the timeline from deviations and my idiot siblings running through the sixties trying to change things is bringing them down on us." He states with a large inhale, knowing the Commission already had them in their sights for trying to stop the apocalypse in 2019, but he wasn't going to share that part with the girl. As he still didn't know if he could actually trust her.
no subject
"Oh great, time cops." She mutters when Five explains a little about the Commission, it sounds like something out of a sci-fi novel but then again her whole life sounds like that so she doesn't have that hard of a time believing it.
"Okay look, this might not fully prove that I'm telling the truth but..." She says and goes into her purse, pulling out her wallet and digging into the very back of it where she pulls out two items that she usually keeps hidden and hands them to Five. The first is her drivers license which is dated in the future, the second is a photo of her and her friends, her makeshift family, on the beach in L.A.
The picture shows Roxy hugging a very tall redheaded girl while two guys make faces in the background, a third girl, a stoic Indigenous girl, stands off to one side with drinks.
"You've been trying to find your siblings, well this is my family. Only I have no idea where they are, something happened when we went through a stupid government transportation portal, I think they all stayed in 2019 but I got thrown here. I have to get back to them." She says, her eyes serious. "And if your dumb brother or a pack of stupid time cops are about to mess that up then I'm not just going to stand by and let it happen."
"I can help." She says softly, her eyes pleading with him.
no subject
He sighs as he hands over the picture and identification back to her. "Look I don't really have time for all of this. So I'll take your word on this, but if I find out you were playing me. I will make you regret it. Despite what some other people might think, this isn't a game to me." He replies with a serious expression on his face.
He's not a fool and he knows better than to completely drop his guard. He absolutely refuses to succumb to a pretty face. It just wouldn't bode well for him.

He certainly feels that out of Roxy and Lila, Roxy definitely gives off the better vibes. In any case, he needs some sort of good news because everything constantly going to shit is getting old quick. The moment he hears her voice on the other end of the receiver, he speaks. "Please tell me you were able to talk some sense into the big ape?"
no subject
"Hey sweets," She says casually when she picks up the line, smiling at his immediately grumpy tone. "I dunno if I'd call it sense but I do have some news for you. Seems like Luther has asked Jack to find someone for him, a woman by the name of Allison Hargreeves. Does the name ring a bell to you?"
no subject
"Yeah, she's one of our sisters." Five replies, trying to mask some of his frustration. "Do you know if your boss had any luck finding her?" He asks after a beat. Since he'd definitely like to talk to her before Luther gets to her.
no subject
"And no luck yet, but knowing Mr.Ruby it won't take too long. How'd it go with your escaped brother? Find him okay?"
no subject
"Oh I found him alright. Though he's down for the count right now. We had a little excursion with our dad's past self and the idiot ended up getting himself stabbed." He explains, definitely sounding frustrated. "You'd think the moron would know better than drop his guard, our dad wasn't a cream puff when he was raising us. And that's technically years from now."
no subject
"You don't seem too worried so obviously it wasn't fatal. So what's next? Find your remaining siblings and....then what?"
no subject
"I need to get these idiots out of this timeline before one of them does something to destroy the world. We're not just talking about changing the timeline. We're talking a complete doomsday as in the end of all things."
no subject
Which is an understatement but there's also no sense in panicking, she's survived one end of the world situation before, granted that was with the rest of her team and was in the future not 1960, but still!
"Any ideas on how we can get everyone out of this timeline? Aaaand is there any way I can bribe you to take me with you when you leave? Please?" She asks, and then adds. "You can't tell over the phone but I'm totally batting my eyelashes at you."
no subject
"Not yet, I still need to find everyone and make sure they aren't causing the problem." He sighs as escaping the timeline is definitely a work in progress right now. A breathless chuckle escapes his lips at her comment about batting her eyelashes at him. "I suppose I can find room for one more person, if you manage to help find my siblings before they ruin this timeline beyond repair." He replies with a hint of amusement in his tone. But at this rate, he needs all the help he can get.
no subject
"You are an absolute doll." She says in regards to him finding room for her, "Okay so you said you've got two left to find, let's start by you telling me their names so I can check my sources to see if they're in town."
no subject
"Klaus and Vanya Hargreeves." He replies with a sigh. "I have someone keeping an eye out for my sister, Vanya. Since there are signs when she is present." He adds after a beat, not really revealing that he and his siblings have powers yet. He just remembers that when he saw Vanya just before Hazel pulled him away, she had complete control over her powers. So he's honestly hoping that is the case currently.

Aka: Super powered.
It would certainly explain a few things, like Luther's build, the ease in which they all seem to be handling time shifts and the end of the world. Maybe that's another reason she was so drawn to him when she first saw him, like calls to like and all that....
"So. Besides your brother getting stabbed, how's your day going? You didn't get hurt right?"
