RP with Number Five

Roxy stands in her new apartment (okay it's not new new but it's new to her) in a pair of short shorts, a bralette, and a baseball cap. She looks around, trying to figure out where she wants to start painting, she's thought ahead and taped the paint swatches to the corresponding walls so she knows which pink is going where. Now all she needs is her designated helper to arrive....
While she waits she cracks open a beer, turns up the volume on her bluetooth speaker and begins to sing along to the song that's playing, after all she might as well enjoy the acoustics of her new place while it's empty.]

You make me weep and want to die, just when you said we'd try
Lovin', touchin', squeezin' each other....

There wasn't anything adorable about when I was an old man. I was pretty haggard from trying to survive.

[He jokes because he knows she wasn't talking about that specific time period. He shrugs at reaction to the security camera comment.]

It is, what it id, Rox. I didn't have a normal childhood in any sense of the word.

[ He just lets out a laugh at her wanting to take pictures.]

I don't want to be posted all over your Instagram or Facebook. Just fyi. I don't have a social media presence and I intend to keep it that way.

[He is far too paranoid to maintain an online presence.]

Even if you were haggard I bet your eyes were still pretty.

[She insists because come on, it's true. Even the apocalypse couldn't take that away from him.]

I know you didn't, it's just stuff like that is extra creepy to me since we had it back in the I.O training camp. I managed to find one vent in that entire area that didn't have cameras so I used to go there and smoke when I was stressed out.

[She kisses his cheek while she takes a bunch of photos of them.]

I know and I won't post them, these are just for me to look at.

I don't know about that. I bet they were looking pretty dead by that point. I was reaching a breaking point when I got recruited.

[He admits because he doubts he wasn't looking wore down as his spark was almost entirely snuffed out by the time the Commission sent the Handler.]

Heh I use to find blind spots to hang out in back too. I didn't smoke though. That's a habit that never developed. I just drink a lot of liquor.

[He chuckles turning his head to capture her lips as she goes to kiss his cheek.]

Let's get back to work, babe. There is a lot of painting to get done.

[ He tells her as he drops another kiss to her lips. ]

Understandably so, my poor Five.

[She says sympathetically.]

That's good at least, it's not a good habit to have and is a bitch to quit. I've tried like six times now.

[She clicks off the last picture just as he captures a kiss on her lips and she smiles, knowing that photo will probably be her favorite out of all of them.]

Yes sir.

[She replies cheekily and kisses him again before stuffing her phone back into her back pocket and floating back up to the ceiling to get back to work. They continue for a while and before too long the room starts to look perfectly pink, she sighs and drops down onto the floor and looks around at the finished room.]

I fucking love this. It's so pretty!

[He looks around at all the pink bleeding together and just shakes his head in amusement.]

It looks like a unicorn threw up cotton candy in here.

[He comments before pressing a kiss to her cheek.]

Do you want to take a break and grab something to eat?

That's exactly what I'm going for so that's great!

[She teases and kisses him back.]

Yeah food would be a great idea, and maybe another beer. I don't have any food in the fridge yet but I can order some, what do you feel like?

[ He just laughs as he leans to capture her lips in another kiss, while slipping one of his arms around her waist to pull her closer. ]

It's okay, I can order something since my diet is more specific than yours. Most of the places I eat from, I have saved on my phone already.

[ He tells her because he doesn't want to her to worry about having to remember what he can and cannot eat. ]

[She moves closer, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck.]

Okay sure, I'll have whatever you get.

[As he takes out his phone and orders them some food she nuzzles herself into his neck, breathing in deeply to enjoy his scent.]

Five, this might be a dumb question but do you shave? Or is that something you don't have to worry about yet?

[He decides to put in an order for a veggie pizza, since it isn't as foreign as some of the vegan dishes that he and Klaus eat.

As he pockets his phone, he goes to wrap his other arm around her waist.]

Oh I definitely have to shave. Otherwise I would be walking around with a patchy looking goatee. I'd rather have smooth looking skin then look like I have a dirt outline on my face.

[Granted Klaus was able to help him find a moisturizer because when he first started shaving again. He had to deal with a lot razor bumps that made him feel scaly. So his smooth skin is more a product of actually having a skin care routine. ]

It takes some effort to look this clean cut.

[She giggles and kisses his cheek.]

Well I appreciate the effort, you look very handsome all clean cut.

[She especially appreciates it after dating Grunge for so long who had a casual acquaintance with shaving and general hygiene.]

I'm sure you also appreciate the lack of beard burn on your face and inner thighs.

[ He chuckles as he turns to kiss her on the lips again. After all they got a little bit before the pizza arrives. ]

Mmmmm I sure do.

[She says before kissing him back, reaching up to remove his baseball cap as well as hers. Because trying to kiss through them is too much effort.]

After having dated so many scruffy guys it's really nice to be with someone so soft and smooth.

[ He laughs as she removes their caps, taking advantage to kiss her much more thoroughly as now they don't have anything hindering them. He only pulls back to let his lips hover over hers as he smiles again. ]

I spent over forty years having to be scruffy because I had no other choice. You actually do miss grooming when it is no longer a possibility anymore. Those losers you dated in the past will never know those kinds of hardships. They do that shit out of choice because they are lazy fucks.

[She smiles and nuzzles his neck, kissing her way up to behind his ear.]

They were lazy in more ways than just that....

[She licks his earlobe and bites it delicately.]

So.... How much time do we have till the pizza arrives?

[ He lets out a laugh, rubbing his hand over her back, while pressing kisses to her temple as she nuzzles his neck. ]

Honestly I'm not sad about that. I like being the first to really please you.

[ He drops a kiss to her shoulder as licks and bites at his earlobe. ]

Not that long. You know I don't like rushing. So you'll have to wait a little longer.

[ While he's definitely not against making her the appetizer, he just doesn't want to race against when the delivery person arrives with their food. ]

[She chuckles and smiles against the skin of his neck.]

Mmmmmm, you please me more than any man ever has. You're incredible.

[She presses herself against him a little tighter, shifting her hips back and forth slightly to very gently rub herself against him.]

You know I hate waiting....

[She teases him just a bit more before sighing dramatically and moving away from him, kissing him on the cheek.]

But I guess I have to. See how good I'm being? Do you see my restraint?

[ Her words send a shiver down his spine that instinctively he hugs her tighter, resting his chin on her shoulder. ]

So are you, sweetheart.

[ He chuckles at her being a little tease, before pressing a kiss to her collarbone and giving her another playful swat to the rear. ]

You're only being good because you know you'll be rewarded.

[ He laughs again as she moves away with that cute dramatic sigh of hers. ]

I guess that just makes us the most incredible couple ever. Geeez how are other people going to stand us?

[She says with a smile, she then utters a small squeal when he swats her ass again.]

Uh yeah! duuuuh.

[She bops into the living room, opening the window to get some fresh air but to also perch prettily on the windowsill. Sipping her beer.]

So I had a great idea on when you can meet my friends, I was thinking of throwing a big house warming party once I'm at moved in and set up.

I can't bring myself to give a damn if people can handle us or not.

[ She makes him far too happy at this point. He chuckles at her little squeal as he follows after her into the living room. He definitely admires the perching but he also knows she is doing it to show off in the first place.

He pulls his phone out to check the arrival time on the app as she mentions him meeting her friends. He glances up and gives her smile. ]

So you think the crew is ready to meet me?

Omg are you kidding? My sister is basically hounding me about it. Our last two phone calls were about you.

[She fiddles with the paper label on her beer bottle.]

Urm I was also thinking of inviting your family, they were nice enough to let me come to your birthday thing so I thought I'd return the favor.

[oldmanfive]

Well she's your sister. Of course she wants to meet me. But I meant your other friends. And well I haven't changed my stance on your ex. I cannot meet him and pretend to be cordial. The shit with Diego bringing Lila to dinner proved that.

[ Refrain from killing? Yeah okay, but pretend to be nice? Hell no. ]

You sure about that? Dinner almost turned into a shit show given Diego's choice to unveil the fact that he's seeing Lila again.

I'll warn you now that Caitlin will probably have about a million questions for you, and it will be written as an itemized list.

[She bites at her lower lip a little, still fiddling with the beer bottle.]

Yeaaaaah I thought about both those things and well....I was thinking I could just not invite Grunge or Diego and Lila.

I'm not that great with being bombarded with questions though. If it feels like an interrogation, I automatically start feeling triggered. So you might want to warn her to hold back some.

[ He grimaces because he doesn't want to have an episode in front of her friends and family, but he can't exactly stop those reactions given the trauma he has been through. ]

That would probably be best, even if Diego gives me shit for it later. I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Don't worry I'll tell her to keep it to a minimum, she's just curious about you. I mean all my friends are curious about you but Sarah and Bobby are way more chill.

Do you have any questions about them?

[She heaves a mental sigh of relief, she had been worried that Five would get offended that she wouldn't want to invite Diego. She doesn't mind Diego but she doesn't want him bringing Lila with him.]

Why would he give you shit about it? It's my house.

I get the curiosity, but there's got to be some pacing. My family surprisingly restrained themselves from asking you a billion questions, but they didn't quite spare me. Klaus and Vanya get that I need space with answering questions, everyone else can get overbearing about it.

[ He explains, because he just doesn't want to feel like he's being boxed in. Even if they all have the best intentions. ]

Not really, is there anything you want me to know about them?

[ He sighs at that question because it is complicated to explain...at least in his mind. ]

Look at it this way. We grew up being divided and pitted against each other on a constant basis. It leaves a lot of hard feelings that haven't all been entirely squashed because we are talking years of issues here. Diego already has abandonment issues when it comes to me. Not being invited to my girlfriend's house warming party is just going to be seen as being excluded whether we have a good reason for it or not.
