RP with Number Five

[To say that things hadn't exactly been a holly jolly Christmas season so far would be a gross understatement and considering everything that had happened recently no one was going to blame Roxy for cancelling any and all of her holiday plans.
But Roxy was nothing if not tenacious.
So, in true Roxy fashion she bought herself a fake pink Christmas tree, decorated it in as many pink, purple and black decorations as she could find, bought a bunch of booze and treats and opened her doors up to all her family and friends as well as Five's.
Because you know what? No one was going to spoil her holiday.]

[ Well all of his plans were kind of put out of sorts with Lila's attack on him, but he is glad that he was able to get Roxy and Carter's gifts early. He's generally not big on holidays and well his family is just starting to learn how to do that celebrating thing together. But he's not surprised that they accepted the invite to Roxy's place.

Though apparently there are still plans for a family dinner the next day that Five is expected to attend. But he still has mixed feelings on going back to the main house, even for a holiday dinner.

While it's only been a couple of weeks since Lila tried to scramble his brains, he's slowly but surely starting to feel a little more like himself. His ability to talk is less hindered and his bruises and cuts have healed to a point where he doesn't look like he's been put through the ringer. He doesn't really do holiday sweaters or colors really, but he feels well enough to dress up with a winter vibe. When he comes out of Roxy's bedroom after getting ready, he comes out holding a bag with four small beautifully wrapped presents in it. All four being addressed to Roxy, which he places under her pink Christmas tree.]

[Roxy meanwhile has spent the last 45 mins in the bathroom putting the finishing touches on her make-up, she exits the bathroom wearing a tight white dress with pearlescent sequins and high heels.
Is it over-kill? Absolutely.
But she's spent the last couple of weeks mostly in pajamas and sweat pants while she and Five recover so now that she's feeling good enough to get dressed up you better believe she's going all the way.

She spots Five putting gifts under the tree and smiles.]

Now where have you been hiding those? I cleaned the apartment the other day and didn't find any gifts.

They were in the stuff, mom brought over last time she checked up on us.

[ He says slowly as while he doesn't stammer anymore, it still takes some effort to talk properly for him. He smiles as he looks over to Roxy and sees what she's wearing. ]

...Guess I'm under dressed. Should I change?

[ He considered wearing a full suit, but he wasn't sure if she wanted him to dress up fancy or not. ]

[She smiles and does a little turn for him to see the whole dress and then comes over to where he is.]

You look perfect, I just wanted to be sparkly tonight.

[ She looks gorgeous and suddenly he's feeling that pang of inadequacy which have been hitting him a lot more since Lila's attack. Him having bouts of insecurity isn't exactly new but the small bursts of anxiety definitely are and well they are likely related to what Lila did to his brain when she mucked around in his head before vanishing.]

...I don't really feel perfect.

[ He considers changing anyway in an attempt to head off the anxiety before it has a chance to truly take hold of him. ]

[Her brows knit together in concern and she reaches out to take his hand in hers, giving it a little squeeze.]

Did you want me to change? Tone it down a little?

[She asks, suddenly worried that her outfit choice has upset him. She's become almost hyper aware of trying not to upset him these last few weeks since she knows he's had a hard time recovering from Lila's attack.]

[ He sighs feeling instantly guilty that he's making her second guess her outfit choice. Lightly he shakes his head as he makes up his mind. ]

No...I'll change.

[ He tells her as he leans in to press a quick kiss to her cheek, trying not to ruin her make up. He gives her a squeeze before pulling back to head back into the bedroom. It's his anxiety. He needs to face it head on. ]

[Roxy watches him head back into the bedroom, silently cursing Lila with a thousand different highly uncomfortable ailments because it seems like ever since she got in his head he hasn't been confident. She bites at her lower lip and follows Five into the bedroom.]

Want any help?

[She asks, trying for a flirty tone as she leans prettily in he doorway.]

[ The one outing he did with Grace and Allison, he managed to drag himself through a store to look at some new suits. Allison had thought maybe a new suit would make him feel more like himself. He had found two that he liked but hadn't been sure if he should wear either to Roxy's impromptu get together.

He goes to the closet to pull out the two Ralph Lauren garment bags and lay them on the bed to open them. ]

Which one should I change into?

[ He asks, since he wants to feel more appropriately dressed for her. He opens one bag to reveal a suit paired with a black turtleneck and then he opens the other to reveal a pinstripe navy blue suit that is more traditional with a shirt and tie matched to it.]

[By the time everyone leaves Five is both physically and mentally exhausted. There was definitely too many people in his space and far too many people he didn't want to see there to boot.

He finds himself lying down on the edge of the bed, still dressed in his suit with one arm draped over his face. It was way too soon to be around his brothers. That much he knows for sure.]

I can't handle another get together like that, Roxy. As sweet as Allison and Carter's gifts were there were too many people in my space. If I got to see my brothers or your ex for New Year's too. I guarantee I will lose my shit.

[While he wanted to give Roxy at least one night of feeling normal. This was too much, too soon.]

[Roxy comes into the bedroom, kicking off her high heels and flops down onto the bed next to him. He's not the only one who is tired from the party, playing good hostess took a lot more out of her than she was expecting.]

Don't worry, for New Year's it will be just us. I promise.

[She says and rolls herself over so she can cuddle up on his chest.]

Thank you for doing this tonight, I know it was hard but it really meant a lot to me to see our two families together for a nice reason. Not.... because of...you know.

[ He lets out a sigh as moves his other arm around her as she goes to cuddle on his chest. ]

If this doesn't prove how much I love you, I don't know what will.

[ He says with a tired but amused smile as he drops his other arm off of his face. ]

I didn't even drink, despite desperately wanting to guzzle a bottle of tequila down.

[She chuckles and nuzzles his neck a little.]

I'm proud of you. For not guzzling tequila or for punching your brothers....or Grunge.

[She kisses his jawline softly.]

You were very well behaved and courteous, which I think deserves a bit of a reward.....

I would not have stopped at one punch, if I hit your ex.

[ He is honestly blunt about that, considering he hasn't forgotten how this guy treated Roxy in the past and the stuff he put her through.

He leans over to press a kiss to her lips.]

What about my Christmas gift? Didn't you want me to open it after everyone left?

I know...

[She murmurs as she kisses him back softly. She knows how hard it is for Five to not punish Grunge for all the horrible things he did to her so it means even more to her that he acted so nice tonight for her.]

You're right, let's do your gifts first and then you can get your reward for being so good tonight.

[She teases, flicking her tongue into his mouth briefly before getting up off the bed and going into her closet where she pulls out two gift bags. She hands him the larger one first which contains a pair of Italian dress shoes and the other contains two framed pictures. One picture is of the two of them at the pumpkin patch and the other is an artistic black and white nude photo of Roxy. In it she has her back to the camera, the lighting is dramatic and highlights her curves in a very classy and film noir aesthetic.]

Baby, I'm not a dog. I don't need a reward for not going ape shit on two of my least favorite people and one whom I despised with much of my core being. Seeing you happy was what I wanted. I got that.

[ Of course he probably won’t put himself through this again any time soon, because he almost lost it one time too many.

He smiles as he sits up to accept the gifts. He looks genuinely surprised by the shoes as they look expensive. But worry of her going through her budget is lost when he sees the photos. He's not use to keeping physical photos outside of Vanya's book. He looks up at Roxy with a blend of confusion and appreciation on his face.]

When did you have time for a sexy photoshoot?

[She sits down next to him and watches him open the gifts, a little bit of anxiety creeping up on her when he looks confused by the photos and she bites her lower lip.]

I did it by myself back in October....I was tipsy on half a bottle of wine one night and started looking up 'how to' photography videos on Youtube and decided to give it a try.
Do...you not like it? Is it bad?

[Her eyes are worried and all of a sudden she thinks that she did something stupid and that the one photo out of the hundred she took that night really isn't good and that he hates it.]

New Year's Eve Sex Toy Shopping

[He wasn't expecting another Christmas gift from Klaus but apparently the moment his siblings learned of Allison's gift to them. They wanted to give him and Roxy stuff for their trip.

Klaus' instructions that he open the gift with Roxy privately made him feel apprehensive about it. Thus he sits on the couch in Roxy's apartment with the box sitting on the coffee table. Five frowns as he tries to guess the contents.]

I don't trust Klaus. He was too tight lipped about what he got us. Did he give you any hints?

[Roxy looks up from where she's making them New Year's cocktails in the kitchen and shakes her head.]

Nope, your guess is as good as mine. Mostly we've been texting about going shopping together in the New Year.

[She laughs at the expression on Five's face as he continues to stare at the box.]

It's not going to bite, darlin.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Klaus has a sick sense of humor.

[He scowls staring the box down as if it were a ticking time bomb. Clearly he is being stubborn in refusing to open it before he knows what it is.]

[Roxy giggles and picks up the two French 75 cocktails she's made for her and Five and heads into the living room. She sits down next to him and passes him his drink.]

It's probably something totally boring but he just wants to tease you by making you think it's something weird.

[Instinctively he takes the offered glass and puts it down on the coffee table next to the mystery gift that he us still staring down.]

Or it is something totally inappropriate and/or humiliating!

[He huffs because no way is it a boring gift. Otherwise he would have just given it to him on Christmas.]

Well there's only one way to find out for sure.

[She says and gives him a little nudge, grinning at him.]

C'mon, stop glaring at it and open it.

Fine.

[He grumbles as he goes to pick up the box and slowly unwrap it. Finally he is able to pull the lid off and he is greeted to a small set of massage oils, a small box of condoms, a $100 gift card to an adult store that has an online store and greeting card.

Five continues to frown as he opens the greeting card. I wanted to get you two a toy to spice up you sexy times, but I wasn't sure what you guys would like. So here's a gift card to buy something that you both will enjoy! ;)]

[In total contrast to Five's reaction Roxy sees the oils, the condoms and when she reads the note over Five's shoulder she laughs and claps her hands together excitedly.]

Awwwww! That's so sweet of him!

[She leans over to the side table and grabs her laptop, placing it between them on the coffee table and taking a sip of her drink as it boots up.]

C'mon Five, he's being supportive of our sex life.
