Roxy stands in her new apartment (okay it's not new new but it's new to her) in a pair of short shorts, a bralette, and a baseball cap. She looks around, trying to figure out where she wants to start painting, she's thought ahead and taped the paint swatches to the corresponding walls so she knows which pink is going where. Now all she needs is her designated helper to arrive....
While she waits she cracks open a beer, turns up the volume on her bluetooth speaker and begins to sing along to the song that's playing, after all she might as well enjoy the acoustics of her new place while it's empty.]

You make me weep and want to die, just when you said we'd try
Lovin', touchin', squeezin' each other....

Mmmm well I'm certainly open to performing lap dances in here, but only to a very select clientele....

[She says as she tips him a wink.]

The hat is probably the most bizarre part to see you in, like you look adorable don't get me wrong but it's so..... casual?

[He jokes as he continues the tssk at hand.]

What did you expect me paint in a three piece suit or something? Come on, babe. I can be practical too.

[She looks over her shoulder at him, eyebrow raised and a mischievous grin on her face.]

Mmmm maybe, but only if it's just the tip....

[She floats down to grab her beer, taking a quick sip and then returning to the ceiling. Thank god for powers because going up and down a ladder would be such a pain.]

You're almost always practical. And I wasn't expecting a three piece suit, I was expecting jeans and a collared shirt though.

No, you're not distracting at all.

[ He sighs but lets out an amused laugh. He resists the urge to offer up the tip of tongue.]

I finally have nice clothes why would I want to ruin them? For forty years I had to scavenge for clothes. So I never really had nice clothes that fit me properly until I joined the Commission.

[She giggles in response, knowing that they are both thinking about the same things but they really do need to get some work done. Maybe later when the paint is drying she can distract him....]

That's understandable. Did the Commission have like, a personal tailor that made you suits and stuff?

[He'll gladly take her as a snack during their lunch break. In the meantime he focuses on painting the walls in smooth even strokes.]

They were stationed in the fifties adjacent. So most suit shops did tailoring when you picked out a suit. It was nice. They would measure you and everything.

[She pauses, looking over at him curiously.]

Do you have any photos of yourself from back then?

[oldmanfive]

No, the Commission has all that stuff. I only pictures for personnel files at that point.

[He explains while continuing to paint.]

Ah okay.

[It's understandable and she's not upset but she is curious to know what he looked like at that point in time. Seeing how that's the time his body and mind were the same age.]

A little birdie told me that there's also no photos of you when you were really little, which is a shame because I bet you were a real cutie when you were a baby.

What? You've been talking to Klaus about our baby pictures?

[He asks a little surprised that was even a topic between them.]

Our dad wasn't sentimental. If there are any pictures they would be in his files. Remember we were his test subjects not just his adopted children. I doubt he cared if we looked cute at any point.

Nope, Allison.

[She glances at him and sees the look of surprise on his face.]

I ran into her at the mall a few days ago and we started talking while we were shopping.

And I figured your Dad wouldn't have photos but maybe one of you would take photos of the others, like Vanya or Luther.

You mean as kids? Or as adults? Because I'm pretty sure Allison would be the only one of us who would take pictures now. Back then we weren't allowed to have cameras.

[ Oh well she and Allison bumping into each while shopping makes sense. He shrugs as he's never really cared about having pictures of himself at any age.]

Honestly there might security camera footage of us. The old man was always keeping tabs on us.

Kids, adults, both. I was just curious if you've always been so adorable.

[She wrinkles her nose at the mention of the security camera footage.]

Yeaaaaah that's not creepy at all.

Speaking of photos though....

[She floats down to where he is and takes out her phone, flipping it around to take a picture of the two of them together.]

C'mere. I want to be a total dork and document everything adorable in my new place.

There wasn't anything adorable about when I was an old man. I was pretty haggard from trying to survive.

[He jokes because he knows she wasn't talking about that specific time period. He shrugs at reaction to the security camera comment.]

It is, what it id, Rox. I didn't have a normal childhood in any sense of the word.

[ He just lets out a laugh at her wanting to take pictures.]

I don't want to be posted all over your Instagram or Facebook. Just fyi. I don't have a social media presence and I intend to keep it that way.

[He is far too paranoid to maintain an online presence.]

Even if you were haggard I bet your eyes were still pretty.

[She insists because come on, it's true. Even the apocalypse couldn't take that away from him.]

I know you didn't, it's just stuff like that is extra creepy to me since we had it back in the I.O training camp. I managed to find one vent in that entire area that didn't have cameras so I used to go there and smoke when I was stressed out.

[She kisses his cheek while she takes a bunch of photos of them.]

I know and I won't post them, these are just for me to look at.

I don't know about that. I bet they were looking pretty dead by that point. I was reaching a breaking point when I got recruited.

[He admits because he doubts he wasn't looking wore down as his spark was almost entirely snuffed out by the time the Commission sent the Handler.]

Heh I use to find blind spots to hang out in back too. I didn't smoke though. That's a habit that never developed. I just drink a lot of liquor.

[He chuckles turning his head to capture her lips as she goes to kiss his cheek.]

Let's get back to work, babe. There is a lot of painting to get done.

[ He tells her as he drops another kiss to her lips. ]

Understandably so, my poor Five.

[She says sympathetically.]

That's good at least, it's not a good habit to have and is a bitch to quit. I've tried like six times now.

[She clicks off the last picture just as he captures a kiss on her lips and she smiles, knowing that photo will probably be her favorite out of all of them.]

Yes sir.

[She replies cheekily and kisses him again before stuffing her phone back into her back pocket and floating back up to the ceiling to get back to work. They continue for a while and before too long the room starts to look perfectly pink, she sighs and drops down onto the floor and looks around at the finished room.]

I fucking love this. It's so pretty!

[He looks around at all the pink bleeding together and just shakes his head in amusement.]

It looks like a unicorn threw up cotton candy in here.

[He comments before pressing a kiss to her cheek.]

Do you want to take a break and grab something to eat?

That's exactly what I'm going for so that's great!

[She teases and kisses him back.]

Yeah food would be a great idea, and maybe another beer. I don't have any food in the fridge yet but I can order some, what do you feel like?

[ He just laughs as he leans to capture her lips in another kiss, while slipping one of his arms around her waist to pull her closer. ]

It's okay, I can order something since my diet is more specific than yours. Most of the places I eat from, I have saved on my phone already.

[ He tells her because he doesn't want to her to worry about having to remember what he can and cannot eat. ]

[She moves closer, wrapping her arms around the back of his neck.]

Okay sure, I'll have whatever you get.

[As he takes out his phone and orders them some food she nuzzles herself into his neck, breathing in deeply to enjoy his scent.]

Five, this might be a dumb question but do you shave? Or is that something you don't have to worry about yet?

[He decides to put in an order for a veggie pizza, since it isn't as foreign as some of the vegan dishes that he and Klaus eat.

As he pockets his phone, he goes to wrap his other arm around her waist.]

Oh I definitely have to shave. Otherwise I would be walking around with a patchy looking goatee. I'd rather have smooth looking skin then look like I have a dirt outline on my face.

[Granted Klaus was able to help him find a moisturizer because when he first started shaving again. He had to deal with a lot razor bumps that made him feel scaly. So his smooth skin is more a product of actually having a skin care routine. ]

It takes some effort to look this clean cut.

[She giggles and kisses his cheek.]

Well I appreciate the effort, you look very handsome all clean cut.

[She especially appreciates it after dating Grunge for so long who had a casual acquaintance with shaving and general hygiene.]

I'm sure you also appreciate the lack of beard burn on your face and inner thighs.

[ He chuckles as he turns to kiss her on the lips again. After all they got a little bit before the pizza arrives. ]

[She says before kissing him back, reaching up to remove his baseball cap as well as hers. Because trying to kiss through them is too much effort.]

After having dated so many scruffy guys it's really nice to be with someone so soft and smooth.
